YES ! you absolutely can walk around Skopelos Town (the main town/Chora) on foot, and many visitors consider it one of the nicest parts of the island!

🚶‍♂️ What Walking Around Skopelos Town Is Like

  • Charming pedestrian streets: The old town is built on a hill with narrow, stone-paved alleys and no need for a car once you’re there. It’s ideal for wandering, exploring shops, cafés, churches, and traditional Greek architecture.

  • Harbour promenade: You can stroll along the waterfront, enjoy sea views, watch fishing boats and yachts, and sit at local tavernas and cafés.

  • Historic routes: Many paths lead up toward old churches, panoramic viewpoints, and even ruins of a Venetian castle above the town — all easily walkable from the centre.
